Designing an End-to-End Digital Pharmacy Ecosystem Across Web & Mobile
Making healthcare commerce faster, safer, and easier for customers, pharmacies, and couriers Elagk is a large-scale online pharmacy platform operating across Egypt, offering medications, beauty, and healthcare products through a connected ecosystem of applications. The system includes customer-facing web & mobile apps, a pharmacy operations app, and a courier delivery app, all working together to support high-volume, time-sensitive medical orders. This project spanned over two years, covering discovery, system design, and end-to-end product execution.
Pharmacy commerce is operationally complex: prescriptions, availability, time-critical delivery, and trust all intersect in one experience.
Elagk needed to replace fragmented, manual workflows with a scalable digital system that works for three very different users—without sacrificing usability or reliability.

The Challenge
Design a system that:
Serves three user types (customer, pharmacist, courier) with distinct goals
Handles prescriptions, substitutions, availability, and delivery coordination
Scales across thousands of products and daily orders
Maintains trust, clarity, and speed in healthcare transactions
The Solution
I designed Elagk as a connected ecosystem, not isolated apps.
Each experience was optimized for its user while remaining tightly integrated at the system level.
Customers can search, compare, upload prescriptions, track orders in real time, and reorder easily across web and mobile. Pharmacies receive, validate, and fulfill orders within time-boxed workflows, while couriers manage pickups, deliveries, and payments through a simplified, Arabic-first interface.
The result is a seamless operational flow that hides complexity from users while keeping the system efficient and reliable.
